Description
This E39 is the estate version of one of the most widely esteemed BMWs of all time, a practical every-day car that is also great to drive. Original and unmodified, its large flat boot is bigger than the biggest current Volvo estate and its smooth, automatic 2. 5 petrol injection engine is very nearly as much fun to drive as an M5, but without the stupid M5 insurance.
This car has split rear seats, walnut wood panels and classy cream leather seats (with no tears), cream carpets and roofliner for a light, spacious internal feel. It is ULEZ compliant, low mileage and with a long MOT with no advisories. Loads of extras include, electric windows all round, cruise control, parking sensors, facelift M style steering wheel, facelift "angel eyes" headlights, 6 disc CD autochanger, audio cassette player, retractable boot tonneau cover and vertical luggage net. It comes with all the original tools and 3 keys - and a brand new MOT. First registered in November 2002, it has had only 2 owners from new, and the current owner has had this BMW for over 20 years with the V5 in the long-time owner's name. Included is a huge history file, the original stamped service book and the factory handbooks.
The body is straight with no rust, and just a few common tiny stone chips and scuffs. (There are signs that the varnish over the paint needs attention on 2 small panels.) Five excellent alloy wheels and good tyres. The car recently had new brakes all round and a new gearbox at 60, 000 miles. This has been well maintained, mostly BMW serviced and the service lights are all correct. NEW 12 month MOT.
