Description

Built by BSA Regal in Southampton, the Gold sr 500 is one of only 100 ever made. Hand built to customer specifications, using a tuned Yamaha 500 single engine and their own featherbed style frame, these are highly collectable, yet practical modern classics; their history is easily searchable online. In near-perfect order, including a factory special aluminium tank and side panels, painted to match the original owner’s classic Jaguar(!) and a real leather dual seat (I have the original rear pegs) , this is ready to ride away. Easy to start and a delightful bike to ride, this lightweight big single is a dream. Mileage is listed at 1800, but there was a recorded speedo change, so the total is still only about 17k . Magazine featured and also a review on YouTube:

I’ve seen these advertised for 12 grand, good luck with that! I’ve priced mine to sell. Viewing most welcome, collect from North Dorset. If you’re far away and unable to view, but would like any specific pictures, please don’t hesitate to ask. These are vanishingly rare, yet very practical bikes and mine has the complete history, including original order and build sheets. Featured in RealClassic magazine and online, it’s a well-known motorcycle and very easy to live with.
