Description
1983 Mini City completely restored less than 10 years ago. It has covered less than 500 miles in that time as my father hasn't found the time to drive it very much over the years. It is stored in a dry garage and has never been driven in the rain.
The bodywork is very unique and has been carried out to a very high standard. Fully blended wide wheel arches, de-seamed (apart from roof). Lots of nice touches to the bodywork that make this a real head turning car. It gets a lot of attention at shows. The car has been fully re-sprayed in metallic orange and the roof is black. The bonnet and boot are fibreglass.
The car is sitting on coilovers all round and the linkages are adjustable. It has front discs with braided hoses so stops very well.
Rear subframe has been replaced with a beam axle style unit.
The wheels are in excellent condition and there is plenty of tread on the tyres.
1275cc engine engine runs perfect and has plenty of power.
The interior has racing seats with harnesses and the rear seats have been removed.
This car is absolutely stunning with only a few minor blemishes from use. Also comes with a boot liner kit which isn't currently fitted. I know I have missed things as this car is so modified so it would be best to view it in person.
The front bumper has a slight dent from where another Mini just nudged it at a show year ago. I am selling this car for my father who is the current owner. He simply doesn't have time to drive it and now finds the ride a little too firm for long drives out. He also needs the space for another classic car.
You will notice that the suspension is sitting a little high in the pictures. My father has set it like that to give the car a slightly softer ride as it is a little too firm for his liking. The car can easily be lowered back down to the correct ride height as it is on coilover suspension.
Viewings are welcome and you can fully inspect the car. Test drives are fine but you will need proof of insurance or the full asking price in cash. My father will do the driving otherwise.
