Description
Built in 1986 by one time chairman of the AC owners club, using a John Eales Rover 3. 9 V8 with down draught Dellorto carbs. Jaguar suspension and LSD. Gaz Shocks, suspension set up by Thunder Road Cars. The car handles and drives superbly, it looks very much like the real thing. It is correctly registered as Historic, therefore no Tax is due. Neither does it need an MOT, however it has a new one. I brought it only two years ago from a close friend who had it approx 20 years and kept it well maintained and garaged along with his collection of other classics. He used it primarily for runs down through France. It has been maintained regardless of cost. I have recently had the carbs rebuilt, all fluids changed, various gaskets, hoses, new radiator. It has a handmade stainless steel exhaust system. All the brightwork is is good order, the bodywork has signs of wear and tear. It has a mohair roof and a tonneau cover. The two main people i have used to maintain the car are: Birks Motor Works in Thame Oxon and R. W. Racing Services nr Brackley Northamptonshire. " Of the 16 replica Cobra's i look after, Robin's is my favourite" Graham Birks - Proprietor. " Robin's car is one of the best replicas i have ever driven" - Richard - Proprietor of R. W. Racing Services, who happens to maintain some of Europes most important real Cobra's. Both gentlemen are happy to be contacted regarding the car.
