Description
Car came into my ownership in 2009 in
February 2010 I began a complete nut and bolt body off restoration where cost was not an issue .
I have hundreds of photos pre restoration/ during restoration/ post restoration.
CHASSIS
Chassis was completely rebuilt . It was sand blasted , repaired, etched primed. And painted then clear coated. Then cavity wax treated.
BODY
Complete body was repaired where needed
Etched primed and painted. All repairs lead loaded if needed.
Complete floor area inside doors and rear quarters covered in dyna-mat panels
Retro fitted mk4 mini door latches fitted and let into door edges this give perfect door closure.
SEATS
Front seats are early MGF / Rear seats are original triumph.
Door cards and rear quarter cards and carpets were supplied by NEWTON COMERCIAL.
BOOT
Fully carpeted
ENGINE
This was completly rebuilt all parts used were from jigsaw racing.
New cam
GEAR BOX
5 speed gearbox was fitted ford type 9.
Which massively improve the drive of the car.
CLUTCH
Full 3 piece clutch fitted new master and slave cylinders fitted and pipes.
SUSPENSION
New rear spring fitted , levers replaced,
Front wish bones refurbished, all rubber bushes were replaced with polybush.
New front hubs and bearings
DIFF
New diff was purchased from jigsaw racing
and fitted.
REAR DRIVE SHAFTS
These were replaced with inboard and outboard CV shafts.
Rear uprights were machined to take mg wheel bearings and the outboard CVs are MG
Inboard CVs are 95mm lobro volvo units.
New custom made propshaft fitted.
CYLINDER HEAD
This was machined with new valve seats so unleaded fuel can be used. new valves and springs also fitted
BRAKES
New front discs / calipers and pads fitted.
New rear cylinders shoes and adjusters fitted.
New master cylinder and copper pipes fitted
All rubber hoses changed to goodridge reinforced ones.
Remote servo fitted.
WHEELS
5. 5 J Steels painted and clear coated.
New s/ s beauty rings fitted
Chrome nuts
COOLING SYSTEM
New Alluminium radiator.
New revotec electric cooling fan .
Runs with classic cool 180 coolant.
WOOD WORK
Dash and door cappings all re-veneared and clearcoated.
EXHAUST
Full tubular manifold and twin box system fitted modified to give two separate tail pipes.
ELECTRICS
New loom fitted ( Auto sparks supplied )
Electronic dizzy.
Halogen headlights ( switched via relays )
Alternator fitted. ( To manage extra load )
HOOD
original condition good. This vehicle needs to be seen and driven to be appreciated loverly and smooth to drive
due to the super smooth engine and 5 speed gearbox. it has that beautiful exhaust note.
Every car show it attends it is driven there it is never trailored anywhere. it gets masses of attention wherever you take it
