I bought this Wthe details below 280 SE coupe 25yrs ago from a private owner who had imported it from Germany (have original German documents still.
Car is an automatic, left hand drive, 4 speed with column shifter.

Car runs beautifully. Comes with original Chrome bumpers (can't get re chromed in Ireland) as well as spare brand new rear suspension springs and wipers, all included in the pictures. The 280 SE introduced in 1968 was the final six-cylinder version of the series, more agile than American luxury coupés and with negligible direct European competition. The 280 SE’s badge signified an M130 2. 8 litre inline-six engine under the hood. Its seven main bearings provide for notably smooth running. Equipped with Bosch mechanical fuel injection, the M130 was rated at 180 horsepower and was also used in the 280 SL sports car.
The W111 Mercedes-Benz models featured independent suspension, including at the rear by swing axles and a central, horizontal “compensating” coil spring.
