We are very proud to sell this very beautiful and rare 1960 Fiat 500N.
This car comes from our customer's lovely car collection. The car was built in late 1959 / 60 and registered in late 1960.
A rare original Right hand drive car, which was newly supplied to Jack Barcley The Rolls Royce and Bentley dealership in Berkley square Mayfair London. and was one of there first Fiats to have as they had recently aquired a Fiat Franchise as well as sold Rolls Royce and Bentley cars.
The car sat in their showroom on show and was also used to transport customers around London who had left their cars at the dealership for servicing, making an ideal car to run people back and forth to the station.
Jack Berkley garage owned the car for about a year, and during that time one of the secretaries that worked for them (Mrs Joan Hodge) had always had a soft spot for the car, and decided to treat herself to it, so she bought it in October 1961, there is a lovely letter of provenance from her still in the history file, explaining that she ran the car as a second car up until 1972 and registered just 48, 951 miles in it, at that point she laid the car up in her garage off road, until it was sold to a Mr Leo Naemi of Isleworth England.
Our customer bought the car from an owner of a winery in Wales who had used the car as a "backdrop" in the wine barn, where the car was virtually unused until our customer bought it in December 2024.
The car has had extensive body and engine work carried out on it and looks amazing in the colour of Chiaro blue. The speedo reads just 49041 miles which is believed to be correct having had very few previous owners.
The chassis number of 161788 shows that it is very rare N model, which were only produced from 1957 to 1960, and as earlier stated it is an original right hand drive car. it also has a full transformable roof which is ideal for the up and coming spring / summer season. the larger fuel tank fitted in the N models sits in the front boot area.
