Description
Selling my father's 1951 MG TD. As far as I'm aware my father was only the second owner of this car. During his ownership it has never seen a drop of rain, has been kept covered in a garage and is therefore completely free of rot. The chrome does need some work doing to it (it is 74 years old after all) and some of the body panels could do with some light restoration but generally it is in very good condition for the age of the car. The engine runs, the tyres are good, the brakes were overhauled around 4 years ago, and since then it's done less than 500 miles, but I'd advise changing the brake fluid as it's been stood for a couple of years. Who doesn't love a convertible? I've driven this car multiple times with my father in the past and we both grinned like idiots every time we went out in it. If I had the time to sort out the few minor bits of bodywork which need doing I'd probably prefer to keep the car but time and ill health mean it's not really possible so it sadly must go.
