Ford Cortina 2. 0 Ghia S. This car is a true survivor. A real timewarp car, drives superbly, no strange noises, very smooth Pinto in this one, in fact, it's the nicest 2. 0 Pinto I've ever driven, I've had a few(48).
This car has factory power steering! It totally transforms the driving experience compared to every other old Ford I've had recently, in my old age some of my collection are a bit heavy on the forearms.
As can be seen in the pictures every panel has some form of character/ patina. However, she is very presentable and turns heads everywhere. I've had some spectacular stuff over the years, nothing compares to the interest that this Cortina generates.
The underside is frankly a miracle: never been welded, has never needed to be welded and will certainly outlive me. I don't know what this one was treated with from new but it's done an amazing job.
The interior is stunning with a period working radio cassette and new correct door speakers. Also fitted is the correct S gearknob.
The seats must have been protected in the past because they are perfect.
New battery with cutoff, new shocks all round new exhaust.
Nice thick history file with bills, mot's etc
A car that needs nothing, just jump in and enjoy. I'd drive anywhere in it. Come and have a look with tea and biscuits or delivery can be arranged at £1 per mile. Truly, I may regret letting this 1 go but my Dads old LS from 1981 has come up for sale and I really want us to give it some stick before it's too late.
