Lovely Texas Yellow VW Beetle in restored condition and ready for summer use at classic car shows or days out.
This is the rare 1303 variant with a curved windscreen as opposed to the more common flat screen. Restored some 12 years ago by a previous owner it is still in excellent condition and attracts a lot of interest wherever I go in it.
Mine since October 2020 bought just for attending shows and occasional runs out during the summer months. The interior is pretty much original apart from new carpets but the body, chassis and engine, transmission, suspension etc have all been subject to a thorough restoration.
During my ownership the following work has been carried out:
New fuel pump and fuel lines.
New distributor and cap.
New vacuum pipes.
All new fuel tank breather pipes and connections.
New engine sump drain plug, metal strainer, seals and gasket.
Several oil changes.
New battery.
This lovely example is now well over 40 years old and as such it qualifies for road tax and MOT exemption.
Classic car insurance for me last year was only £105 for a year so a very cheap car to own that can only appreciate in value as these Beetles have done for years.
Thank you for looking. The colour makes this Beetle get noticed either at shows or just pottering around on nice sunny days. With the 1300 engine it can easily keep up with modern traffic and of course the simple mechanicals means reliability.
