Mk2 Stag, registered 1st Jan 1974 (heritage certificate available). Bought from Stag Classics 6 years ago. Much work done including replacement clutch, gearbox, o/ d and rear axle. New soft top and frame, hard top fully refurbished (front and rear seals, window seals and headlining). Engine top end rebuild, new water pump, cam chains, fan viscous coupling, radiator. Unique custom interior trim in black leather/ tartan, burr walnut dash, leather dash cover. Wool carpet set, Dynamat throughout to reduce noise. LED bulbs throughout to reduce load on wiring. 15" wheels including spare (noticeable improvement in handling). Boot refurbished with new carpet, new fuel pump. Recent re-chromed bumper set fitted. Breezebreaker for top-down comfort included. All the major work done by Paul and Pete at Stag Classics.
The car drives really well and sounds as a Stag should. Interior is a major talking point. With the hard top on, it's usable all-year round. There is a stand for the hard top which makes it easier to store in the warmer months. The car was Waxoyled early in it's life, so there are no structural rust issues. A few areas in the paint require attention, but these are small cosmetic points.
