Description

The 1972 MG Midget with round wheel arches is a classic British sports car that stands out for its charming design and compact size. This model, part of the MkIII series, features a 1275cc engine, delivering a lively driving experience. The round wheel arches, introduced in the early '70s, give it a distinctive and sporty look compared to earlier square-arch designs. The car is known for its simplicity, both in its exterior styling and interior layout. It typically includes minimalistic instrumentation, a tidy dashboard, and a snug two-seater cabin. The round wheel arch models are particularly sought after by enthusiasts for their aesthetic appeal and rarity.
The 1972 MG Midget is a classic two-seater convertible with the following technical specifications:
• Engine: 1. 3-liter (1275cc) inline 4-cylinder engine with overhead valves (OHV).
• Power Output: 65 horsepower at 6000 RPM.
• Torque: 72 lb-ft (98 Nm) at 3000 RPM.
• Transmission: 4-speed manual gearbox.
• Top Speed: Approximately 95 mph (153 km/ h).
• Acceleration: 0-50 mph in about 9. 2 seconds.
This lightweight and nimble car is celebrated for its engaging driving experience and timeless design.
My car in Tahiti Blue has had a full mechanical restoration this included Engine out and fully rebuilt including but not exclusively new pistons re-bore head skimmed and unleaded vales.
Whilst the engine was out the gearbox was rebuilt with new gears where necessary and new clutch and ancillaries fitted.
The electrics were upgraded to include electronic ignition.
The brakes were overhauled and new disc callipers fitted with new shoes
This lovely car is in excellent condition but not a trailer queen she loves to be driven however I am not taking her out as much as I should due to other cars needing my care.
Her bodywork is excellent so is the interior. As with any classic there is always something to do.
Whilst the convertible hood does let it down a bit it is waterproof, I never used it as the car has a full tonneau cover and is not driven in the wet
This car needs a new home, and the new owner will get great pleasure from her as I have.
If you have any queries you can email, I will try and answer as quickly as possible.
But the best way is to come and have a look you will not be disappointed.
Keenly priced £8, 700 ovnoI have always been into my classics and still have to many at the moment. This little Midget was brought for my wife however not being used enough
