Here for sale is my 1995 Jaguar XJ6 X300 4. 0l Sovereign in Carnival red. I’ve owned the car since September 2023 and thoroughly enjoyed the experience. This is a low mileage example at just 67k and I’m only the third owner from new. There is an extensive service history included with the car detailing all receipts and works that have been carried out over its lifetime. The MOT is valid until 14th November 2025.
During my ownership I have carried out / purchased the following:
• Replaced offside rear sub-frame bracket (for 2023 MOT)
• Fitted reconditioned abs module
• New brake fluid
• Sourced genuine set of Jaguar interior mats
• Replaced rear interior heating vent and grab handle
• New radiator rubber mounts
• Replacement rear bump stop (included in sale)
• New front number plate (still have faded original)
• Replaced faulty coil pack
I’ve mainly used the car as a weekend tourer and for UK holiday trips. It’s been 100% reliable, doesn’t use any oil or water and has no overheating issues. Acceleration is smooth with no gearbox problems. There is a very slight weep on the power steering pipework but fluid level is fine.
The interior of the car is in wonderful condition. Points to note however are a sagging headlining common to these cars, slight discolouration of the driver’s seat leather due to a poor previous attempt to colour match wear and tear and loss of pixels to the LCD displays on the radio, climate control and clock which again is a common fault. All the switch gear works as it should except for the valet button in the central armrest compartment.
Exterior wise the car polishes up nicely but it does have scratches to the paintwork and bumpers and there are rust blisters around the sunroof opening (shown in photos). The wheels were recently refurbished before my ownership and look faultless. All 4 tyres are matching with plenty of tread.
As you will notice from the MOT history online, there is a regular mention of rust underneath the car. Most of this is surface corrosion and structurally she is one of the better examples out there. Future rust prevention work will need to be focused on the rear sub-frame areas to keep on top of it.
