1958 4x2, Richard’s chassis, new hoops and canvas top. 2 litre petrol period correct engine. Owned by myself for around 12 years, it’s been fully rebuilt over that time. New chassis, new brakes, too much work done to list. Sitting on wolf wheels with a great set of g90 tyres. Gets serious attention wherever it goes. Bulkhead has had repairs in the past but is completely solid.
Now it is finished I have kind of lost interest and looking for a new project or something else. Used every Friday for the school run so in regular use. 4 defender rear seats fitted so very practical. Could do with new rings as there is some blow by and she does burn oil but runs lovely.
I’m sure I will regret letting her go but maybe it’s time. 4wd gearbox and rebuilt front axle with new brakes ready for fitting if 4wd is what you are after (separate negotiation for parts)
