Yamaha RD400 E Pre Production Never registered
Here we have a Unique piece of Yamaha History
1977 RD400 E Pre production. The bike has never been registered and has covered a genuine 224 km from new. Its is the Only Known E model pre Production bike worldwide and certainly the only new one having never been registered.
Bike was delivered to Yamaha NL technical centre in 1977 for evaluation/ testing and was subsequently sold to a Yamaha dealer in Germany in 1979. Here the bike remained all its life stored in his office as part of his private collection. The bike was serviced by his Yamaha Technicians and run every few months which included a short test drive hence the low mileage. Sadly he passed away in 2021 and it was passed on to his friend who decided he couldn’t care for the bike as he had no facility to store it.
I must stress this bike is totally original and untouched inc tyres which still have pips on. absolutley as it left Yamaha in 1977.
Chrome is original and perfect as is the hardware.
Bike has never been apart service/ fluids have been changed.
Comes with build original Yamaha Build manual Handbook, Warranty book dating certificate from Yamaha Aircooled club. Also Yamaha and VJMC and Letter of authenticity
All documents and detailed history is also included
