Description

For Sale
Jaguar E type
Manufactured in 1973. The current owner has history, Invoices and bills back to 1976.
There are also thousands of pounds worth of parts invoices from Jaguar spares specialists.

This E-Type makes for an eye-catching sight.
From a distance it looks picture perfect with its muscular haunches, and chrome bright work. With contrasting original heather paintwork and cream leather interior.

The bodywork looks great and straight, while the paint is pretty good. “There are some blemishes here and there that would ideally warrant attention. But this is a car to driven not a show room queen.
This car still looks great and presents well.
Chrome work, including those beautiful chrome wire wheels, are very good and a particular strength.

The interior still presents beautifully. The carpets, headlining, and leather provide a
striking cabin ambience. There are very few signs of wear, and the leather hides are just developing a patina.

The cream interior lends a beautiful contrast to both the heather exterior paintwork and the black dashboard.
The Smiths gauges are fully functional, have clear glass and are free from deterioration. Whilst, up top, the headlining is free from any evidence of water ingress from the Webastotype sunroof – no surprise, as the car has always been garaged.

The big V12 engine starts readily and settles into a smooth tick-over, The power plant has covered circa 102k miles according to the extensive history file, so there should be plenty of life left in it yet. Recent service to include Oil, oil filters, air filters, spark plugs, ignition leads, distributor cap, rotor arm and ignition coil.
This E type also benefits from an aluminium bonnet so none of that pesky rot to worry about. The aluminium bonnet being lighter that the pressed steel version has improved the drive of the car making the once heavy steering have a more modern feel.

The underneath looks to be in good shape with well-protected metal, and healthy-looking suspension and running gear. In the boot you will find a spare wire wheel, with special tool for easy wheel centre removal.
