The legendary Mini was born in 1959 from the brilliant design of Sir Alec Issigonis. This compact car forever changed the automotive world. With an innovative transverse engine and front-wheel drive, the Mini offered surprisingly spacious interiors despite its modest size. Four passengers and their luggage could comfortably travel in this revolutionary vehicle.
The driving experience of the Mini was unparalleled. Its go-kart-like handling and playful character made it a beloved choice for both everyday drivers and car enthusiasts with a passion for performance. The Mini also found success in motorsport, making a lasting impression in rallies, including the famous Monte Carlo Rally.
For over 40 years, the Mini was produced in various versions. Despite changes and technological advancements, the essence of the Mini remained intact: compact, agile, and full of character. In October 2000, the final Mini rolled off the production line in Longbridge, England, marking the end of an era. Under the hood of this Mini lies something truly special. During restoration, an original 1, 275 cc turbo engine was chosen, enlarged to 1, 310 cc and fitted with high-performance pistons. This engine has been fully overhauled and equipped with a modified cylinder head featuring new valve seats, guides, and seals. Even the Garrett T3 turbo has been completely rebuilt, ensuring optimal performance.
The engine is further supported by a balanced crankshaft, an efficient intercooler, and an oil cooler. Thanks to the '123' programmable ignition and a fully refurbished, reinforced gearbox, this Mini delivers impressive performance. The engine is currently tuned to approximately 100 hp but is built to handle double that power effortlessly. This makes this Mini not just a head-turner but also a serious powerhouse on the road.
