Ton Vink and the founding of Vink Motorsport
Ton Vink began his career in 1993 as a mechanic in the Dutch Touring Car Championship, ironically working with a Mercedes team. In 1994, he built his first rally car. Later, he transitioned to the karting industry, where he ran his own well-known international karting team, Team TKP, for many years. Despite his success in karting, his passion for touring car racing and BMWs remained strong.
In 2005, he built his first BMW M3, marking the true beginning of Vink Motorsport. What started as a hobby eventually became his full-time profession. Vink Motorsport was born. Today, Vink Motorsport primarily focuses on building and preparing historic BMWs for both racing and rallying, with most vehicles constructed according to FIA historic specifications.
