Very early Elan plus 2 in excellent condition. I have owned the car over 13 years and during my ownership the car has undergone a comprehensive restoration. Only selling as we downsized our house and we no longer use the car on a regular basis.
The paintwork and interior are in near concourse condition. The enthusiasts will have noticed the upgraded alloy wheels which were only available on later models. ( 5 alloys).
I am looking for a good home and will haggle on price to the right buyer. The car was left in primer for three months before the top coats were applied, so giving an excellent finish. The interior was retrimmed in dark blue leather, but to the same pattern as the original specification.
The suspension and brakes were overhauled. The Webber carbs have been rebuilt. The wiring loom has been replaced. The drive shafts have been replaced with Tony Thompson solid couplings.
During Covid the engine was rebuilt by a racing engine specialist, but to standard specifications, which included balancing. Dyno graph on the new engine available.
The chassis was inspected last week and the mechanic said it was sound and would pass an MOT.
I have a comprehensive history going back to the 1980 s.
