BSA A10 Gold Flash …a Bert Hopwood creation that arrived at the Earls Court Show in 1949 and would still be available in dealerships a decade later. A model that thoroughly deserved its reputation for dependability with a iron barrelled twin cylinder 646cc motor that carries a respectable 35bhp @ 4500rpm. This example is a 1954 model year, registered by Plymouth Licencing Office in 55 but would spend the majority of its life in West Sussex. Finished in the original 'Gold' (black was also available for UK customers) and features the period plunger rear suspension, she runs the separate four speed gearbox (1 up 3 down) right hand gear change. A more honest example you will struggle to find, current owner for 16 years the previous 25 years with just one before 1984. The speedo shows 16495 but obviously we cannot guarantee that … but she always starts by the second kick and runs very well, everything operates as it should.
