MOT until September 2025 It passed with no advisories. Only done about 50 odd miles since MOT.
This van was fully restored by Top Gun Autos in Truro, October 2022.
Most of the mechanical work that's been done was by our neighbour V. A. S Volkswagen Audi Specialist.
This lovely T4 camper came to us on a recovery truck with a knackered diesel injection pump. The pump was taken off and sent to Electro Diesel for a refurb.
£460 later, all done.
Refitted with a new pump belt. Runs lovely all good. Receipts to prove.
The gearbox wouldn't change down from 4th gear to 3rd, common problem on these.
Gearbox removed, and sent to gearbox specialist for rebuild. 3rd and 4th baulk synchro rings renewed using new genuine VW parts.
Gearbox refitted along with a new clutch kit, new gearbox oil.
Again, receipts to prove.
The steering rack started to leak, so a good second hand one fitted along with new rack arms.
It has a split charger with leisure battery, charged from the engine and electric hook up.
240v inverter also fitted and wired in, just in case you're off grid and need 240 volts.
Long hook up lead included.
It has a 2 burner gas stove.
Full gas bottle included.
It has an electric water pump for the sink, all rewired along with new supply and waste tanks.
Rear carpet renewed.
New wheels and tyres put on when it was restored.
Suspension recently renewed including new rear lowered springs and it sits on Stance lowered shock absorbers all round.
New door rubber seals.
Led internal lighting.
Pioneer double din dab stereo.
Clifford Viper alarm system, with remote central locking to all the doors.
Electric windows.
Full new curtain set including cab divider.
The coolant system flushed out, renewed the antifreeze.
Stainless steel side exit exhaust system,
(a bit loud for me) But you might like it.
There's probably lots more I've missed out, but no doubt you're bored of reading by now.
It states Motor Caravan on the logbook, so cheaper to insure and no 60 mph speed limits on A roads. It cost me £179 to insure fully comprehensive with zero no claims bonus.
It is very, very solid. One of the best we've ever seen. And we all know how these old T4's can rot.
Welcome to inspect on our ramp for your own piece of mind.
Included are a set of black side rails, but are left off for ease of getting it on the ramp. All brackets and bolts are present.
It will come fully Waxoyled with genuine Hammerite Waxoyl once sold. But for now it's left bare so anyone can see we're not trying to cover anything up.
It drives really nice and pulls very well with the recon injection pump doing its job nicely.
Fully insulated.
