Description
1960 Mercury Parkland Cruiser, with original 430 V8 fitted, oe running gear etc. Four-door pillarless. Has been debadged, but I have the badges, trim, mirrors etc.
Painted in a flat white, with a sparkly metalflake roof.
Could maybe do with a few service jobs; but it does run & ride. Drove it today.
I have replaced the brake cylinders etc all round. And had the starter motor refurbished a couple of years ago. Also replaced the crossplys, as it did wander a bit at speed. Due to the weight I had transit highload tyres fitted.
Also got original workshop manual. And also few other spares. I bought it in April 2018, mainly to take my daughter to prom. Ideal for that.
I haven’t really driven it as much as I’d planned to. Work, life gets in the way. Is also quite a rare car, a handful at most in the country, in Europe, I would have thought.
Should be out, being driven, shown. Is a very relaxed car to drive.
And a lovely burble from the V8 & pipes.
Definitely gets noticed. Makes me smile every time.
