Description
Triumph Bonneville 750 T140V US Spec 1975 matching frame and engine numbers in very good condition. UK registered . Two previous owners with 19272 miles showing on the clock.
There is a considerable file of history with the bike which I will summarize as follows:-
Full restoration carried out 1997-98 including engine rebuild, new crank, reconditioned head, new bearings in the engine and gearbox.
From 1998 to 2023 the following was carried out. New Hagon shocks, new silencers, new front mudguard, both wheels rebuilt in stainless steel, Amol carbs refurbished. Several services carried out.
2023 to present date full service carried out by local specialist Geoff Madden at Asbo Exhausts.
Clutch plates replaced and new fuel tank fitted. Boyer Bransden Electronic ignition fitted.
The bike is in full working order and starts every time. It runs well and handles very well.
I have researched the frame/ engine number and if my research is correct this machine is the 25th to come off the Meriden production line after the recommencement of production following the workforce sit in, adding to its already historic credentials. I bought this bike some two years ago having desired one since childhood. It is a true classic Bonneville, right hand side gear change and kick start in what i believe to be the best colour Cherokee Red and Cream.
The bike is in very good condition but not concourse. I bought it to use and ride not to look at. It rides very well. They truely handle.
