Description
I'm selling my dad's old 1956 MV Agusta CSTL 175cc. I have another 10 or so motorcycles coming for sale at low prices, too. I have little mechanical experience, so some of them will be non-runners at point of sale.
The bike is not currently running. There is no spark. The engine turns over and there seems to be good compression. Could be a simple fix for someone with the know-how.
The bike comes with V5C, workshop manual, instruction manual and parts book (in Italian of course).
It also has a MV Agusta Owner's Club certificate for the matching frame and engine numbers and some type of original registration booklet as seen in photographs.
Any questions please let me know, and feel free to come and view the bike.
Collection from Portishead, near Bristol. The 1956 MV Agusta CSTL is a historically significant motorcycle because it comes from an era when MV Agusta was transitioning from aviation to world-class motorcycle production. Known for its elegant Italian styling, it features a reliable 175cc single-cylinder engine and a 4-speed gearbox, making it a well-balanced blend of performance and practicality. Its lightweight frame and nimble handling made it popular among enthusiasts and racers alike. As one of MV Agusta’s early road-going models, it helped establish the brand’s reputation for precision engineering. Today, it remains a desirable classic for collectors due to its rarity, craftsmanship, and connection to MV Agusta’s racing heritage.
