Saab 900 Turbo S 16 Valve – For Sale
MOT until 28/ 11/ 2025
I wasn’t expecting to sell this, but due to some necessary work on my house, the Saab has to go.
This is an ongoing project, but it’s fully roadworthy— I’d happily jump in and drive it long distance tomorrow. It’s already proven itself with recent trips to Cornwall and Newcastle.
It’s the FPT 16 Valve S variant, making it one of the most desirable specs apart from the Carlsson.
Condition & Recent Work
As seen in the photos, it needs some cosmetic attention. However, the fundamentals are solid. Over £2, 000 of welding was completed last year, ensuring the underside is sound. Driveshaft tunnels and bulkhead are in good shape.
Mechanicals:
Engine and gearbox are excellent.
Recently fitted with a new clutch and a full stainless steel exhaust (both within the last year).
Reliability:
Always starts and drives well. All controls function, including the sunroof and an excellent heater. Electric windows work but are slow to close.
Interior:
Leather seats are in good condition with no rips, and it still has a full set of original Saab-branded rubber mats. The dashboard has minor cracks but remains presentable. The headlining needs replacing, but the door cards are in good shape.
Brakes & Suspension:
Brakes have recently been renewed. Suspension is functional with no knocks or clunks, but new shocks and springs would improve handling.
Bodywork:
Both front doors need repairing or replacing
New front wings required
Rear arches have some rust but are repairable
Other minor areas needing attention, as expected for a car of this age
Comes with a huge service history file, packed with invoices and receipts going back years.
It’s a usable 900 Turbo that would suit an enthusiast willing to invest in the bodywork.
I’m open to sensible offers, especially if it's going to a good home—I hadn’t planned to sell, but circumstances have unfortunately changed.
