Description
This is a UK bike with one previous owner (the V5 states 2 former but this was because the owner was working abroad and registered it in his brother's name). Delivered new in August 1975 with very rare factory twin discs. This is not a restored bike, this is a largely original survivor that rides just like you'd expect a 7, 000 mile bike to ride. Time warp.
The following rare and important parts all appear to be original:
- Instruments
- Plastic coated levers
- Mirrors (adjustable both ends) (the photos make them look a lot more faded than they are)
- Bodywork
- Exhausts
- Seat with strap
- Wheels/ rims
- UK-spec grab rail
- Long rear mudguard
- Lions key
There are still yellow paint blobs here and there.
It has the original pressed aluminium number plate and a period Cibie H4 headlamp fitted
I know the master cylinder is wrong - it's a repro item - but original twin disc master cylinders seem to be completely unobtainable. The good news is that the brakes are good and although you need all four fingers on the lever they work really well.
In 2022 it had new tyres and tubes fitted (period looking tyres from Z-Power)
In 2023 it had a new clutch as the previous one was sticking and an oil and filter changeI've just started it after 4 months off the road over the winter and it started straight away. This is an incredibly useable classic that can be ridden like a modern bike. You could ride to a local meeting or ride to the south of France.
