Description
A very nice sand-cast 750 GT.
Frame number 7502.. engine number 7502..
It is one of the rare sand-cast crankcase bikes from the first series of 400 made, of which only a fraction has survived in good condition and it has unique parts and details specific to this earliest series GTs, such as the large circular recesses in the sump originally designed for the footpeg mounts. The stronger sand-cast crankcases were used for the race bikes that won the famous Imola race in 1972, and the sand-cast 750 GTs are amongst the most collectible of the early L-twins.
This 750GT was fully restored, including the mechanicals, a few years ago in Germany and is in excellent condition.
It still has its original Borrani wheels and Conti mufflers, unusual some 50+ years later.
The original Amal carbs are available.
Visible in Brussels, Belgium.
Detailed valuation expertise report available. The history of this 750 GT is well documented with fabrication and homologation in 1971 and first registration in June 1972 in Italy, then two owners in Germany before the current owner.
It is now registered in Belgium as an oldtimer, has a valid technical control certificate, is fully serviced, is gently ridden on a regular basis and stored in a closed garage.
