Well I’ve decided to thin out my VW collection so here goes. He's a very special Ruby Red 1967 one year only RHD Sparkafer model with 48000 miles showing and believed to be genuine. The Sparkafer which was the base model for bugs sports a 1200cc engine as opposed to the 1500cc used in the deluxe model, 5 stud Drum brakes instead of discs, half roof headliner, no chrome trim on the dash, no chrome trim on the bonnet, painted quarter light window, a reserve fuel tank instead of a fuel gauge as well as other details. The car is in fabulous condition having recently gone through a sympathetic restoration to bring it back to its former glory. Externally the paint work is excellent and polishes up really well. The interior as you can see from the pictures has lasted fantastically well due to the low mileage and shows very little wear at all. Electrically the car retains its original 6v system and performs exactly how it should throughout. The 1200 engine starts and runs smoothly having been given an extensive service whilst restoration was carried out. The engine is the correct matching number and original to the car. So to round it off here’s the chance to own a very rare car in lovely condition that is ready to go this summer. Nothing to sort out it’s literally a case of get in and drive.
