1980 Volkswagen Type 2 (T3) Type 25 Camper, original UK-supplied, right-hand drive example, first registered on 29th January 1982. It is powered by a 1970cc, 70bhp air-cooled flat-four engine, featuring twin Solex 34 PDSIT-2/ 3 carburettors.
I have spent £35, 000 for a professional full-body restoration by the T25 specialists Coast VW, so this camper is in truly excellent condition. The restoration work was completed in July 2024. The work included repairing or replacing all rusted panels, a complete respray, and the replacement of all seals. It is rock solid, and watertight.
All mechanicals have been refreshed, ensuring it is in excellent working order. Detailed invoices and photographic documentation of the restoration are available, offering full transparency on the work carried out.
This is a historic vehicle and so is not subject to road tax or MOTs. It is also ULEZ exempt.
The van has also been fitted with:
a new HiTop with huge internal cargo/ storage areas
a new electric hook-up to the rear (via the oil inspection flap)
a full width rock and roll bed
a diesel heater with digital controls
a 180-degree swivelling front passenger seat
a table mount between the front seats and in the middle section.
