Description
Defender 110 9-Seater 300 TDI
The vehicle left the factory on 19/ 12/ 1997 as a red, 3 door panel van. It was purchased as a ‘donor’ vehicle for the station wagon in 2005, and it was professionally rebodied (in 2005) by TJC Land Rovers in Norfolk. At this time the original chassis was galvanised and hence remains in perfect condition today. It has never been welded, nor does it require anything. The vehicle left TJC painted black and was taken to Edinburgh by the previous owner to me. He used it until 2011, when he decided he wanted to upgrade the vehicle further! He completed most of the work by 2016 when I believe the vehicle was resprayed Grey. The vehicle then stood unused for a further 5 years until I purchased it from him as an ‘unfinished project’. It took me just 2 weeks to get an MOT on the vehicle and I started using it on the road again. Once back on the road, many of the oil seals started leaking due to going hard through lack of use – hence I’ve gone around the vehicle and replaced all of them!! The vehicle now has 1 tiny oil leak remaining – which comes from the idler shaft on the rear of the transfer box. I’ve bought the seal, but it requires the removal of the transfer box to fit the seal – so I decided I wouldn’t do that until absolutely necessary!

. I purchased this vehicle after searching for a rot free 110 for many months. The vehicle is absolutely solid with zero rot and all features stated above in perfect working order. With the grey paintwork, updated bodywork and interior the vehicle looks a lot newer than 1997, but without the electronic complexities of newer vehicles. The 300TDI is a simple, reliable and bullet proof engine.
I'll be removing the private plate prior to sale and a full 12 month MOT will be provided for the new owner.
NB. Owner away until 17th April, so calls will not be answered prior to then. Messages will be picked up whilst away.
