Description

Regretfully selling my E36 318i Convertible.

Car is absolutely brilliant, had it since 2022, and had the engine swapped out and an M52B25 put into it just to give it a bit more oomf. Runs absolutely perfectly, no issues at all, however the RPM gauge is janky as it has not been adjusted for the new engine, I have purchased the adapter for the gauge, but it does need wiring in. I can include that with the sale.

Reason for sale is lack of funds to continue the project, as the brakes have just seized and will need a new front set, but as I am still studying I am unable to find the funds at this moment in time.

Full M3 body kit, does have the rear wing aswell but not been put on as I am not willing to drill holes into my own boot! :D M3 Style 24's, Front bumper, Rear bumper, Bonnet and Side Skirts, along with Steering wheel and shifter.

Engine was placed in with around 70k miles on it, but has since been almost fully rebuilt as I wanted it running as smoothly as possible, almost everything attached to the engine has been replaced since factory, has had a new head gasket, alternator, injectors, exhaust, clutch and flywheel. As it was a convertible I decided not to have AC on the new engine, so that will need putting in if you want it. I have also got a new fuel filter in my shed I was wanting to put in, as starts can be a little rough in the cold, but never got round to it. Was serviced around 20 miles ago.

Almost no rust on the car whatsoever, chassis is absolutely brilliant, with nothing at all, only small dots of rust on the bonnet and in the bay, but nothing at all that is of any harm or reason for worry, no sill rust or well rust as is usual on these cars.

Interior is not factory and I believe has been dyed, I swapped it out around 30 miles ago as my drivers seat in the original interior had a massive tear, and I didn't want to make it worse before I fixed it. The original interior is still sat in my shed, and can easily be sold with the car if you wish. The interior in the car now is red and black, and does have a few fitment issues in the doors, but nothing that can't be fixed with some new clips, once again, just didn't get around to it.

Original interior is a rare Dove interior with the Sport seats, no issues at all except for drivers side seat having a tear, and the door cards missing the famously bad long plastic clip holder at the top, but they do fit very well once on the car.

Has full service history, minus the most recent service as I did that myself.
6 Previous Owners.
Registered 09/ 03/ 99, meaning it is one of the last E36's to come off the production line.

Rare Stehl-Blau metallic original factory paint, code 372/ 2.

The motors for the soft-top convertible did stop working a couple months after I bought the car, meaning that the hard top is the best choice for now. The original soft top I took out to have a clean of the bay around it and just never ended up putting it back in as I prefer the hard top, but it will be sold WITH the car.

The car does also have a leak when it rains or is pressure washed, not sure where it is coming from, but it's very common on the vert's and could probably be fixed very easily with a new seal or tightening the joint. Drains have recently been cleaned, and I did have to pull the carpet up as it was causing alot of condensation in the car, and wanted it gone so I could fix the leak, so will need a new carpet.

Exterior is absolutely mint, has been cleaned almost every week since I owned it, minus the last few weeks as it's not been driven, barely any scratches, and only one small dent on the hardtop that you can barely see. It is missing a bonnet latch, but it still functions perfectly without, just sometimes gets caught. One of the front high beam bulbs has gone, but only about 12 quid for a new one.

No cat on the exhaust, as I did recently want to take it to the track, but that will need changing if you want this car on the road!

Full central locking.

Car is tuned and is now running at about 190bhp give or take.

Open to cash offers, not looking for trades unfortunately. Absolutely brilliant car. Amazing sound, perfect driving experience and with the top down nothing can beat it. Incredible presence on the road and a real head turner, especially in this colour!
