Description
Selling my Oxford Blue Silver Shadow from 1976. The car is striking in this colour combination, deep Oxford Blue over cream hides, dark blue carpets piped in cream with matching lambswool rugs. Combined with the chrome bumpers and optioned Silver Wraith/ Corniche wheel trims, it looks superb.
Condition is overall very good, but there are 1 or 2 small blisters appearing in places as shown. The car has also obviously been painted throughout its life and somtimes not always to RR quality, so is a bit of visible orange peel, a few fish eyes and a bit of dry paint here and there. There are also a few places where the original paint exists that is getting a bit thin and translucent where the car has been lovingly polished so often. But the car looks amazing overall, You definitetly wouldn't be ashamed taking it to a car show on a Sunday afternoon.
The car has covered 80k miles from new with a very comprehensive stamped main dealer service book as shown in the image section. Comes with all its book, manuals and wallet which are all numbered to the car. Even the original warrantly card.
In the service history, shows in 2022 the car benefitted from new brake lines as well as a service. Even though it has done almost no miles since then, it could probalby use a service now. Happy to do it at the asking price.
It also had new discs and pads at that time, plus also 2 new front tyres.
Interior is good, but best described as original. Leather is nice, soft and springy as it should be.
Dash wood has a few delaminations and the door caps ideally need re lacquering.
To drive the car is superb, quiet, responsive, smooth shifts, everything a RR should be.
Everything seems to work apart from all 4 windows have stopped working as of this weekend, I have no time to sort currently. Again, when it goes in for service happy to have this sorted for the buyer, assuming asking price is met.
The centre console boasts a fully working 1980s car phone which is just superb to see.
The car also has it lambswool rugs and rear foot stools which are really as good as new.
It's a lovely Silver Shadow in the a striking colour combination, but I bought this and a Bentley T2 in a mandatory package deal and can't keep this one.
The private registration goes with the car, valued at £2200.
