For sale is my BMW 530i Touring SE (E39 Generation), paired with a manual gearbox from factory, making it a rare and desirable car amongst E39 enthusiasts, finished in Titan Silver.
This car has served me as the perfect mix between practicality and comfort making it the ideal workhorse, powered by the M54 which gives it plenty of sportiness whenever needed.
Its a very clean example of an E39, with lots of care taken throughout its life. The first owner had owned it all the way up until 2023, which she then sold the E39 onto the second owner, who purchased it as a workhorse to help him move items for his new house.
Since my ownership I have used it to commute to and from college for my apprenticeship in Oxford, mostly motorway driving.
Within my ownership, I have carried out the following, all with either BMW or OE products. Replaced the MAF, ignition coils, spark plugs, oil service at 148, 000 miles, full refresh of the CCV system at 150, 600 miles, on top of this I have also replaced the radiator and some hoses.
She currently sits on 152, 7XX miles, with all the work ensuring the engine runs as smooth and efficiently as possible, whilst still pulling strong with its M54 3. 0L, the manual gearbox has no issues and shifts effortlessly.
The cars exterior condition is fair for its age with the bodywork generally having small dents, the odd scratch, and small stone chips on the bonnet. The bumpers are also starting to sag at the corners, all of which will be shown in the photos and videos (PM for more!)
There are no major rust issues, underneath the passenger front door there is some surface rust coming through, however all of the jacking points are extremely solid with no sign of corrosion, all arches are spotless, and sill are in good condition. There are some very minor spots where rust bubbles are forming on the bodywork.
The interior is in good condition, spec'd with Isofix seats, paired with the OEM cargo cage making it the ideal family car (cargo cage can be of use for pet owners too). It also features a rare optional headliner (BMW Anthracite I believe, but not 100% sure).
Some areas could do with attention - the dual climate control works, however would benefit with a re-gas to get it back to being ice-cold for the summer. There is an oil leak underneath (as show in the video), the front windscreen washer pump needs replacing (rear one still works fine), a small cubby trim piece in the boot has a snapped clip, making it not able to secure properly. Lastly, the rear left tail light has a small crack on the surface (purely cosmetic).
I have carried out some very subtle tasteful mods which include genuine Style 32 wheels all round (brand new tyres on the fronts), as well as coded-in side markers to always stay on, white LED sidelights, audible door locking/ unlocking, and pulse hazard lights, all of which (other than the white LED sidelights) can be disabled and returned to its original state if desired. In the boot is a full-size spare (OEM BMW wheel but not Style 32).
If full asking price is met I will also include a near new plug-and-play SONY XAV-AX8150 including the E39 specific wiring loom (cost £550).
She is ULEZ compliant, and comes with spare keys, as well as service history up until 2016, and a long 10 month MOT (mid January 2026).

Its manual from factory (a unicorn of E39s, especially as its a touring model too!) Its got the perfect mix of performance and practicality as its a manual, luxury family estate, something less common on the road nowadays, especially one equipped with the M54 engine.
The 530i is a fan favourite amongst enthusiasts for said reasons, as its the perfect compromise of reliability and performance, unlike the smaller engines which people complain are underpowered, giving it more than enough sportiness, yet without the unreliability issues which come with the larger 540i.
On top of this, I believe the E39 is one of the last classic, timeless looking cars BMW made, which aged beautifully and has clean lines and a refined, sophisticated look to it.
