Description
I bought this Elefant from a good friend of mine in 2015.
I had been looking for an early " Adventure " bike and the Cagiva was top of my list as I do like the more unusual choice of machinery.
This is one of the last of the models, registered in 1999, and in the favoured "Lucky Explorer" colour scheme.
I have all the M0T's and service history for the 9 years it has been in my ownership, and some earlier history too, I have covered around 9000 kms and it has had 3 belt changes during that time along with normal servicing.
Although it has only done about 1000kms since the last cambelt change, I will get belts and oil changed at point of sale so it will be fresh for the new owner, price includes this service. Current MOT November 2025
It is a very original bike, including paint, and you will see from the photo's that there is some bubbling on the tank in a few places.
the rest is very good for the age, and the only other point is some pitting of the lacquer on the front forks.
I fitted engine bars when I got it, and as you see there is a GIVI top box for it too, other than that it is all standard .
If you are looking for a tidy, genuine example of this rare and unique Cagiva, then this could be the one for you !Based on the twice Dakar rally winning machine, air cooled V twin Ducati 900 engine, brembo brakes, alloy spoked rims, What's not to like!
