1998 Vauxhall Vectra SRi 1.8

Offered for sale is my 1998 Vauxhall Vectra SRi 120 1. 8.

Registered on 7th May 1998, this car was a dealer demo/ employee car for Normand Heathrow until it was purchased on 29th July 1998, it stayed in the same family for the next 26 years, showing 44K (see below).

Mechanically the car runs and drives well, brakes are good, goes through the gears well, gets up to temp and does not overheat etc. Since I bought the car I have had the below carried out:

New MOT (Expires Feb 2026)New Gates cambelt kit, water pump & coolant change (March 2025)Full engine service and new rocker cover gasket (March 2025)

Exterior wise the car is in good overall condition, it has some age related marks over it which is to be expected, the n/ s arch shows signs of repair, both mirrors damaged (see pics) and small chip in the windscreen but besides that it is very presentable. It has the optional Irmscher front spoiler fitted from the factory and oddly Super Touring badges too! All 4 alloy wheels are in good condition, spare wheel unused and tool kit present and correct.

Interior is in good & clean condition, carpets, door cards, seats, boot etc show very little sign of wear. Electric windows, radio/ cassette player, heater, A/ C are all in working order. The central locking only works on the driver’s door, fuel flap and boot.

Mileage issue - The speedo is intermittent, this has only become a problem in the last couple of years. It works briefly then the needle will drop and stop counting, for many years now it was only used locally then placed on SORN in 2024 until I bought it (all other dials and lights on the dash work) There is also a discrepancy in 2005 where 35K was entered instead of 25K at its MOT, it was presented again soon after with the correct figure entered.

The car comes with 2 keys, original Vauxhall wallet with handbooks plus sales brochures along with some receipts over the years and MOT’s all kept in the suppling dealer folder. Retains the original dealer plates and sticker too. With a long mot, new cambelt and recent service it is ready for a new owner.
