Here is my Audi 200 Avant, owned since September 2020. Thousands spent in the meantime on too much maintenance and improvements to mention here… happy to send a full Excel record of work to interested parties.
Everything works on the car, way ahead of its time, with functioning climate control, cruise control, vacuum operated diff locks, all electric windows/ mirrors/ sunroof. The centra wheels are an original factory accessory which I had imported and refurbished from Lithuania! New centre caps were engineered locally from scratch too.
It has a modern Blaupunkt Bremen remake which sets the centre console off perfectly.
Tyres have plenty of wear remaining, and the underside is completely solid as previously treated in my ownership to Dinitrol products and clean professionally applied.
The car gets 35mpg on a good run, and turns tax and MOT exempt next year.
There are four of these things registered/ taxes in the UK, and this has to be the best one.
For those not in the know, this uses the same 2144cc five cylinder turbo engine as the UR quattro. Full service history is included, as is all of the original handbooks, manuals, and related brochures and even the Audi UK press release for the model year! The car was originally owned by the Haynes family of Haynes Manuals, and is warmly remembered by there family. We’ve loved the car as a family classic, but it’s time for it to find a new home. The car has been featured in a number of online and in print articles during my ownership, and is coveted amongst classic Audi fans.
All original parts including lighting and factory 200 standard wheels with winter tyres will be included in the sale.
Open to reasonable offers on the car, but I’ve spent an incredible amount of time and attention to detail sourcing period/ model year correct parts and accessories to make sure this is the most accurate 200 Avant you will find. Open to interesting PX’s, particularly high quality W124 Mercedes.
