Description
Here’s your chance to own a true piece of British microcar history – a 1960 Berkeley T60 with bags of character and plenty of potential!
This is a great restoration project, but it’s also in good running and driving condition, so you can enjoy it from day one. It features a modified Leyland Mini 1000cc engine, breathing through a K&N air filter – a big step up from the original 300cc motorbike engine. It’s got a bit more zip than your average T60 and has been tweaked to look and go faster, giving it a unique edge that always turns heads.
The paintwork shows its age with some cracking and would benefit from a respray, and the interior could do with a refresh to really bring it back to life. There’s also some internal wiring that needs attention, as a few functions and gauges aren’t currently working – a straightforward fix for the right enthusiast.
That said, it’s mechanically sound, runs and drives well, and comes with a folder of paperwork, including previous service receipts and repairs, for added peace of mind.
This little gem was handed to me by a close friend who passed away recently, a lifelong British microcar enthusiast, who cared for it well over the years. It’s a fun, quirky little car that puts a smile on everyone’s face – it even won an award for “Most Unusual Car” at a recent classic car show!
A perfect project for someone who appreciates these rare microcars and wants something a bit different. These cars are getting harder to find, especially with a running upgraded engine like this
