Description
Deep Bronze Green Land Rover Defender 110 TD5, soft top with green canvas full length hood. Odometer reads 242K but about 18 months a ago had an engine replacement with a reconditioned TD5 engine with a mileage of 150K. It starts on the button and is a joy to drive. It is one of a collection of land rovers but one has to go. Our main vehicle is a 110 Station Wagon with a 300 tdi engine but my personal preference is the TD5. However, the soft top pick up set up doesn't work as the main family car.
The vehicle was originally a hi-cap pick up and was refurbished for me. (It initially went into NATO green which you can see in the photos of which there are more). When the rear tub came off the original chassis was revealed to be in pristine condition, with original paint intact. It was recoated in black. The only part needing replacement was the rear cross member and this has been replaced with a galvanised cross member. Please note, the rest is the original chassis not a full galvanised chassis.
The truck has had series doors put on with door pockets. The galvanised cappings are nicely patinated and the land rover deep bronze respray a year ago makes it a lovely classic looking land rover complete with bonnet mounted spare. It currently has its show plates on (classic black number plates) but comes with its normal plates as well. It has been well maintained, used daily. It's a nicely worn in interior, not concourse but in keeping with an old land rover.
Body is rust free. There is an old dink in the front nearside wing that doesn't look out of place and was sprayed as it didn't bother me.
