1966 ford mustang GT convertible , fully correctly restored in the 80’s , kept only as a limited trailered show car since 1988 , owned by a ford collector , very correct GT body & under chassis, finished in pretty correct wimbledon white (m) colour with beautiful luggage rack , has the correct factory light blue / white full pony interior , white manual convertible top ,
correct A code C6 dated 289cid/ 4v engine / rebuilt with 50 recorded miles when imported , has outstanding compression readings (copy of these )
fraser dante classic car dealer carried out a fresh set up in 2020 on the build , new aluminized duel exhaust system , / brand new updated factory air conditioning / power steering / new duel line GT front disc brakes and pads & rear shoes fitted ,/ exceptional factory chassis / rally pack / brand new radial whitewall tyres / new radiator , the mustang came with a spare service kit which will be included new brake pads & shoes , spark plug leads , distributor cap , new actual distributor , points , oil filter , and spare set of used spark plugs , it does have electronic ignition fitted , it is also fitted with turn signals on the fenders very rare indeed ,
i purchase the mustang in august 2020 . Imported to the uk 09/ 03/ 2021 , the mustang was registered & mot’d , all defects & advisories were rectified at that time including the installation of a Sigma S30 datatool alarm system ,
i received the mustang on 16/ 08/ 21 , to date there have been further improvements carried out by my local garage & mustang specialist these include : new exhaust manifold gaskets replaced , tapets fully adjusted , full transmission rebuild including the torque converter , new edelbrock carb fitted / rear exhaust system replaced stainless steel / rear differential overhauled / new heater core replaced , mileage was then 00612 . Having also had a service at the same time , mileage now presently reading 01007 , i have had the mustang serviced in the last couple of years , there is a bluetooth box professionally fitted which is coupled to the ignition & door speakers as the original 8 track does work but the radio doesn’t operate
i am in possession of all documentation passed onto me from the dealership including an appraisal by fraser dante , original handbook , i have in my possession a cd with pictures with the work carried out as well by fraser dante ,
the convertible roof has a defect on the top as you can see in the photos , just a small split , i have taken it to a autotrim specialist for advice on this however a repair but not possible , i have purchased a special waterproof patch which has been applied on the inside , this has sealed the affected area , also the patch does not interfere when the roof is lowered or raised ,
note there is a minimal oil leak from the transmission band nuts which i recently noticed , this is a quick fix by just replacing these nuts
these Ford Mustang GT Convertibles are very rare to find in this original condition these days and are becoming harder to resource. i purchased this car having spent nearly 2 years researching the correct mustang convertible that was totally original and had been correctly restored and looked after by the previous owner/ s ,
the colour stands out especially with the light blue pony interior , it certainly gets a lot of attention when i have been driving it many people can’t believe how beautiful it looks .
