I have owned this beautiful G-Wagon for the last seven years. This example is in my opinion the last of the proper G-Wagons as they were originally conceived to be. This model has the 2. 7L common rail CDI turbo diesel engine with loads of power and torque. The 5-cylinder engine emits a unique and pleasant sound. The OM612 engine was utilized in the PUR editions, certain CLK, E-class C-class model cars, and some ML vehicles, ensuring that spare parts will remain widely available worldwide. The Mercedes OM612 engine is legendary for its reliability and longevity and well capable of passing 500, 000 miles if looked after. This model is the W463 body , which was produced till early 2024 , so the last model before the rounded current facelift model. This car has left-hand drive. Mercedes halted right-hand drive G-class production from 2004 to 2010, making right hand drives unavailable for a six years period.
This car has the superb Mercedes hand-built quality, I'm selling because I live within the ULEZ zone and after seven years of infrequent use it is impractical to keep on. One advantage of the age of this car is as it is just gone 20 years old it qualifies for classic car insurance and only costs £334 fully comp insurance with Footman James Classic Car Insurance.

Condition.
I would rate this car in excellent condition given that it is 21 years old. It does not show its age both outside and within. The mileage for its age is quite low at 97k miles. The engine bay is beautifully clean. It has not had heavy use in my possession as it was really used as a leisure car and not a daily drive. My work and home are close by so no daily commutes required. There is very light wear on the leather interior and the rear seats look like they have never been used.
Everything works as it should both mechanically and electrical. An intermittent error message suggests an issue with the rear light bulb. However, no faults have been detected and all lights are operating properly.
The gunmetal paint on the wheels has some stone chips but overall still look great.
In my opinion this is a drive away car with no attention required
Note: on the MOT history there are two mentions of MOT failures on Emissions. The reason for this is because the tester mistakenly classified the car as Euro6 category. As you will see from subsequent tests once informed of this mistake the test was immediately rectified to a pass on the same day.
One Mot is shown in Kilometres, not miles. This is because the digital screen can be scrolled to both kilometres or miles as required.

Spec
The colour is Obsidian black metallic. The rear windows are factory tints not film. The transmission is 5 speed automatic. Upholstery all leather. The rest of the spec is too long to cover, auto rain detection, heated seats, cruise control, aircon, etc, etc. Ask if any specific mod is not listed.

This vehicle has no modifications. It is completely stock as delivered new. When I bought this car it took me ages to find aa really good one. I can’t stand anything under par so I was determined to settle for nothing less than a really good example.
