Description

This Sénéchal VS3 – for "Voiturette Sport 3 places" – combines the best of many worlds: it's light and agile, yet its boat-tail body can seat "three and a half people" (advertised as such!). Powered by an 1100cc Chapuis-Dornier CST4 overhead valve engine, it can easily reach speeds up to 80 km/ h, although certain period advertisements boast a top speed of 90 km/ h.

Its history is very well documented, from its first registration in Limoges over 100 years ago to today, with 30 years spent as the only car in a bike museum in The Netherlands. One of only two known surviving VS3's, it is an almost unique example of a rare marque of which approximately 40 cars are known to still exist. Due to its rarity and authentic condition, it has been invited for the Cyclecars expo at the Louwman Museum in the summer of 2023, as well as for the cyclecar class of the 2024 Antwerp Concours.

The car is sold with a spare engine (which is actually its original engine, ready to be reassembled), a spare magneto (which is very likely its original Saga GS4 magneto), a large history file (including restoration pictures and invoices) and a dating certificate from the Belgian Veteran Car Club.
Located in Belgium.
