For sale is my Alfa Romeo 156.
It has the 2. 5 litre V6 Busso engine which sounds fantastic and pulls very well and seems in really good condition. It is running smoothly and I was told it had an engine rebuild in the last couple of years by a previous owner - but no receipts. There is a receipt for a cylinder head rebuild and skim 2 years ago. 190hp from factory and it doesn’t feel like many have escaped!
It is a manual and the clutch and 6-speed gearbox are both good and the car drives really well.
I have lots of receipts for work done to the car over the years. In the last three years there are receipts for a new clutch, new timing belt and water pump, cylinder head rebuild and skim, new starter motor…
It has MOT until 22 August 2025. V5 is in my name.
It does have an aftermarket back box on it so it’s not quiet but it doesn’t drone on the motorway. And it does mean you can really hear the busso v6.
It is an old Alfa so does have a handful of minor electrical quirks - some fan noises inside and occasionally temperamental central locking (at worst it can still be locked using the door clickers inside and key outside).
In short, it could be a great project for someone wanting to get it to a really really good standard, or it is a good cool car to just use and enjoy straight away.
It is a lot of car for the money and has a proper retro cool to it.
