Description
1972 Land Rover series 3
Fully restored series 3 that wants for nothing and is ready to enjoy. This Landy really is a joy to drive unlike some series vehicles, the brakes are sharp and it goes very well benefitting from a Perkins Prima engine. This was a popular engine conversion in period as it provides much more power than Land Rovers 2. 25 diesel but it isn’t so powerful that it will damage the gearbox.
The original 4 speed manual gearbox shifts easily and has an overdrive fitted.
This lovely Land Rover has been fully rebuilt onto a new galvanized chassis with –
New parabolic leaf springs and shocks for a supple ride
All new brake cylinders, shoes and pipes
New brake servo
A long wheel base front axle to provide better braking
New Led lights for safety and reliability
New doors
We are a Devon based Land Rover workshop who specialise in Series and Defenders.
If the buyer would prefer as a full soft top we could convert the roof with a top quality UK manufactured canvas tilt in a colour of your choice ready for summer!
