Time to sell my lovely KZ650 due to reducing my collection, I’ve owned this for several years and enjoyed riding her.
She very original apart from the paintwork, I have fitted lower bars along with correct OEM cables etc and of course I have all the original parts to revert to the higher US spec if required.
Original exhaust and mufflers all stamped correctly, these are 48 years old and are faded and have a few acid stains from the original lead acid battery breather pipe. New (Genuine) left exhaust shield.... expensive.
She’s had a new fork tube (Genuine) as there was very light pitting and my OCD got the better of me.
New (Genuine) tail light assembly and indicator stem.
New (Genuine) master cylinder cap.... very expensive.
New coils, caps and I have upgraded the ignition to the later KZ electronic version, old points plate included.
Comes with 2 keys 1 original and the other I had cut from a genuine blank.
Few other genuine parts most recently fuel tap, she was imported in 2006 and she’s MOT and tax exempt.
All case screws are correct original JIS screws and I’ve probably taken every screw out of the bike at some stage and cleaned and copper slipped them. Comes with spare oil filters (Genuine) and anything I have for the bike. I always use good quality oil and she’s well pampered.
She still running the correct unmodified air box. Has daylight running lights and hazard warning lights as standard. When I purchased her someone had fitted a different headlight lens with a side light bulb holder…but this bike never had a side light so I have fitted a lens without the bulb.
She’s not a show bike by any means and there is a few small marks to the frame and front mudguard isn’t as shiny as new but she’s an old girl. Viewing welcome and encouraged. Please remember she’s 48 years old and not new.
