We are sadly letting go of our beautiful Brilliant Silver Beauford Open Tourer. Based on 1976 Cortina running gear and powered by a 2. 0 V6 Cologne engine and Auto transmission. Engine runs great and gearbox operates perfectly. Converted to manual choke. MOT and tax exempt. Stainless steel exhaust with a lovely tone. Starter motor recently refurbished. Always been well very cared for.
The car is the earlier version with the Mini body and interior so an extremely quirky option for use as a wedding car or a fun weekend cruiser.
Roof is in perfect condition, sits lovely with no water ingress whatsoever. Interior has been recently fully overhauled in grey leather and carpeting. It is in immaculate condition.
Bodywork is very good. Only a few blemishes but definitely one of the nicer examples out there. It has had a set of brand new alloy wheels (all 6) a more modern style, but they complement the car nicely. A set of steel wheels can be supplied with the car. Tyres in great condition.
If used as wedding car, the front seat is out (included in sale but wasn’t upholstered when the rest got done). Loads of space on passenger side. Yes, rear space behind the driver is tighter but in 14+ years of ownership, I can honestly say not one person has ever bothered. They just love the experience that this beautiful little car provides.
An absolutely stunning car that still has so much to offer. Easily commands £350 per wedding. Very much a case of our heads ruling our hearts. We need the space in our unit. This car has been nothing short of brilliant for us. Never let us down. Usually untidy project cars at this sort of price.
