For sale we have this Lovley little LHD ford Mekur also known in the UK as the ford Sierra. It’s an Xr4ti with effectively a 2. 3 turbo pinto engine from factory, this one is an auto with around 63, 000 miles I believe however there’s no proof. It comes with a Full years MOT advisory free. These were only ever sold in the US and its affectively a turbo charged standard Sierra. This one specifically comes from Florida and is 100% rust free and has barley seen the UK roads at all let alone a wet one. It comes with very little paperwork. Just a V5 and a workshop manual longer than the bible. It was imported from Florida about a year or 2 ago (I personally picked it up from the dockyard) and has literally sat in a heated workshop ever since, the gentleman I’m selling this on behalf of just used the car to transport some bits inside it for his truck here in the UK but has now since retried to Florida and left me with the task of getting this shifted along with a few others.
Outside the car is absolutely mint, there’s not a mark, dent or scratch I can find anywhere on the bodywork and there is no rust what so ever anywhere on the car, this is obviously all down it being sat in the Florida sun which has reserved the body fantastically.
Mechanically again the car is spot on every now and again it does cut boost if you put your foot down and reach max boost so I think the wastegate may be a little sticky however besides this the engine and box both perform flawlessly with no major issues. Suspension wise the car presents beautifully and I have a full video of the underside of the car showing all brake lines and suspension components up close.
Finally inside is unfortunately were this otherwise perfect car falls down. Due to the extreme heat the dashboard is cracked to the high heavens along with all the leather seats, all the leather has been completely dried up by the Florida sun and in my opinion is beyond saving, so a new interior is a must if that sort of thing bothers you.
