1997 BMW Z3 E36/7 2.8

Selling my BMW Z3.
It’s a 1997 pre-facelift wide body with a 2. 8ltr M52 engine and manual gear box. Has covered 143k miles but it has been well looked after and gone through a minor mechanical refresh.

It is really well spec’s with:
* Manual gear box
* Black leather interior
* Electric seats
* Electric roof
* Heated seats
* Air conditioning (still blows cold)
* Factory (I think?) roll hoops
* After market wind deflector
* Bluetooth head unit with hands free
* M50 inlet manifold - desirable upgrade
* New roof back in 2022 which is still in good condition - I’ve regularly waterproofed it as well
* Braided brake lines
* Private reg included with sale

I’ve owned it since 2023 and have had a lot of work doing to it
* Regular oil changes
* Gear box oil change
* Rear diff oil change
* 3 new brake callipers
* New brake discs and pads front and rear
* Front wheel bearings
* New spark plugs
* Custom stainless steel exhaust
* New tyres all around - Uniroyal Rainsport 5’s with loads of tread on them
* All new front control arms, ball joints, track rod ends etc
* Powerflex front ARB bushes
* BC Racing coil overs which have been set up and corner weighted
* Water pump
* Thermostat
* Viscous fan coupling
* Engine and gear box mounts

It is mechanically sound, especially after the mini restro work that has been done. But the paint work in places could be better. It’s not rotten but some minor bubbling on the arches - joys of this is that all panels are bolt on and off. I am just trying to be honest.

It’s great fun to drive. The M52 engine sounds epic with the exhaust. Handles really well with the suspension upgrades. I’ll be sad to see it go but needs must. I wanted to do so much more with this but change of circumstance at home means a 2 seater roadster is not sensible.

I do have a set of Style 32 wheels with winter tyres that I can do a deal with if wanted.

Car is located in North Wales, just outside of St Asaph (LL17), about 10mins from junction 27 of A55.

Will consider reasonable offersI’ve had this car for coming up to 3 years and it’s been great fun to drive around in. Being the 6 cylinder engine it makes a great sound, especially with the roof down and the custom exhaust only enhances the noise! It handles really well with the new suspension upgrades. I’ve taken it on road trips and even commuted to work most days over the summer in it! Going for a drive with the roof down is what this car is all about.
