The car was used frequently until CAT was cut off 2 years ago. It has been stored since then (garage and undercover). Moving abroad so thinning out cars and aborting this project. This is my 5th Probe, only 170 odd left (DVLA records) when driving it is a real head turner and engine note (when it has a CAT!!!) is beautiful.
This is the desirable 2. 5 V6:
Black Leather Interior , electric seats/ lumbar support, in good condition for year, no tears/ cuts

Tastefully and compliant window tints - NOT pimped out illegal gangster look (I`m too old for that lol)

All told I have really enjoyed this car over the previous 5 years when main picture with black wheels was taken, that is meant to demonstrate what the car can look like with little effort. When I purchased it- I removed the Ford GT style go faster strips (wish I hadn`t to be honest!) and found they were covering up blemishes to bonnet and tailgate. The black strip is magnetic-can be removed, it is currently protecting the sun roof from further deterioration and hiding bonnet blemish.
There is some history, but not full service history. No wheel arch corrosion etc.
The body work is sound-except for some paint wear to both bonnet and tailgate as stated. I was intending to get a blow over as it still buffs up well. The roof is corroded-in common with virtually every Probe I`ve owned bar 1. The closest I can find currently for sale on this site is £5, 800 (lovely condition so not like for like-close though with effort). In all honestly I would have liked to have kept it, but feel it would benefit another Unusual Car/ Mazda/ Ford enthusiast who will have time to finish it and drive it. The upgrades listed above make it very practical and a very much appreciating unusual car--not to mention a great value bargain. The insurance is great, due to age is (from memory £275 pa- whereas my Focus 3CC is closer to £1000-London rates).
I am very happy to discuss with serious purchasers- please bear in mind it will need to be trailered as it is Sorned and without MOT, hence the price. I have found it was great to drive, the handling, well you need to drive it, but suffice to say it is a 2. 5 V6, front wheel drive-so was fun.
The look is almost unique, and a real conversation starter. Parts are fairly accessible-even CATS, after market.
