Description
Rover P5B Saloon 1969 SAP809G Automatic, Power steering.
I bought the car from the the seller who was in Tavistock Devon.
I had come across the car in March of this 2024. The seller had done nothing to it in his ownership. I told him if he could get it to a good driving condition with an MOT I would purchase.
He went through the car replacing a lot of ignition components and working on the fine tuning.
It took some time but I purchased it on the 1st of July 2024. The mileage on the MOT done at the time was 68587. I have covered some 700 trouble free miles in it.
I have changed the coolant and the gearbox and diff oils and with the MOT advisories. I have attended to a number of minor cosmetic issues, and minor pieces of trim.
The car starts first time hot or cold and uses no fluids.
I have spoken to a previous owner who had bought the car in 1997 an kept for 15 years or more and commissioned the restoration. He confirmed what had been done to the structure and the interior. He sold it to someone in Plymouth who did little to it and it was sold at the above auction. Correspondence is in the history file.
The car comes with a very complete history file.
The car is in Somerset and I would welcome any viewing or inspection.
I would drive this car anywhere for you to view.
The reason for sale is I need a Rolls Royce as my last ever classic car I am 73.
