July 2024 - Replacement "Hella" Headlights with New Old Stock (due to faded original reflectors)I purchased the GLT in March 2012 via the Volvo Owners Club from a retired couple in Portland, Doset who'd owned the car since around 1990. They bought it to replace an earlier 360 GLT which wasn't fitted with power steering. It was always garaged during their (and my) ownership. Since then I've used the car during the summer months for leisure and a bit of commuting.
The car won 'Best in Class' at the Volvo Owners Club "Best Kept Volvo" National shows in 2012 and 2013 - it's in much the same condition now! Having owned various 300 series models over the years and being familiar with their ability to rust, this is one of the nicest late example GLT's remaining - in my opinion.
Being the fuel injected model makes it very reliable. It starts first time every time, performance is respectable and it's fuel economy is acceptable returning between 25 locally and 35mpg on longer runs.
